We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Elderly Caregiver to provide dedicated care for our 69-year-old father who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elderly care, particularly with patients suffering from memory-related conditions. The caregiver will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our father, offering both physical and emotional support. **Responsibilities:** - Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, if needed. He currently can shower on his own but needs encouragement and reminded. - Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation and etc - Monitor health conditions and report any changes to family members and healthcare professionals. - Engage in meaningful activities and conversations to stimulate cognitive function. - Ensure a safe and clean living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry. - Accompany the patient to medical appointments and social outings. - Offer companionship and emotional support, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere. - Implement and follow care plans as directed by healthcare providers and family members. - drive my father to activities so he can get out of the house. **Qualifications:** - Proven experience in elderly care, especially with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. - Certification in caregiving or nursing assistance (CNA) preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - First aid and CPR certification is a plus. - Background check and references required.
