About who needs care: Care would be for my 43-year-old brother who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma and is receiving hospice care. Overnight help would be to relieve our mother from the duty a few nights a week. He is mostly sleeping, but could require assistance with medication, feeding, or bathroom during the night. This would be a fairly easy/quiet shift. He typically only wakes on his own once. We have been waking him for medication 1-2 other times. About the care needs: We are looking for someone comfortable in a close family and welcoming friendly environment, accepting of all. Ideally it would be someone who is comfortable helping a large (200ish lb) man with mobility needs to rest comfortably and just have what he wants and needs. He (and we) are grateful for the help we have received so far and are looking for additional support to help us get through these tough days. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
