Hands-on Care Needed For My Wife In Fort Worth

About who needs care: Newly diagnosed ALS patient. Needs assistance to transfer to bedside toilet, bathing via SCRUBZZ washcloths, food & drink prep. Patient is alert, cogent and with a good sense of humor. This is to relieve the spouse for home maintenance and upkeep items. Hobbies & activities are minimal, patient is a published author, inventor and business owner; enjoys being a homebody and stimulating conversations with friends, B&W movies on TCM, & political news. About the care needs: Currently no specialized skills needed, but should have good physical strength and coordination. Medical or nursing student might be ideal. Hobbies & interests: Mysteries, Broadway Show Tunes, Classic movies, art/artists, American history and a deep political science understanding of Western Civilization a plus... or a willingness to understand where Americanism comes from. Does not suffer from TDS. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
