About who needs care: This is for Mom and Dad. Mom has Parkinson's and Dad is recovering from an intestinal surgery. 1. They need medication management once a week into pill boxes, or a pill machine if that's best. 2. Meal prep (or helping Mom) for lunch and dinner. Dad is following diet from nutritionist for recovery from surgery. 3. Transport to each one's doctor appointments, 4. Transport to grocery store, restaurants, Walgreens, other shopping and errands as needed. 5. Load or empty dishwasher as needed 6. Encourage hydration for both. 7. Light cleaning 8. Encourage Mom's Parkinson's exercises About the care needs: Someone who likes old people (Dad 87, Mom 85), with who is patient, friendly or has an upbeat personality. Maybe someone over 50 who can talk about memories of Fort Worth. Someone with experience with older people, who can observe their condition and send me a message by text or phone after their visit. Mom is a homebody, pretty quiet, has had some big personal losses in the past few years. Dad loves football, sports on TV, was a tennis player, golfer until he got cancer a few years ago. Not active now. They both are avid watchers of local and national news. Best if they don't use profanity. Probably best not to recruit Trump supporters. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
