About who needs care: My father had a stroke recently and needs someone to drive him to physical and speech therapy. He is self-sufficient in terms of dressing, bathroom, walking (with a walker for now as he is a fall risk until he regains some stability) but will need help with meal prep and other household tasks as he regains strength and mobility. About the care needs: My father lives on an organic farm (he no longer grows for business) and loves the quiet outdoors. The house is 15 minutes from the nearest town/city. He is an avid reader and engaged in current events. He does not watch much television. He is open-minded, though a quieter person in general. My mother died almost one year ago and they had been married for almost 50 years. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
