About who needs care: Mom is starting to have memory issues, she does not have an interest in cooking anymore, she often does not get out of her nightgown and will go outside with it on. My step Dad makes coffee in the morning, puts out donut holes and fruit. So at least they snack on that in the morning. But that is not healthy to have every day, He has heart problems, high blood pressure, COPD, and Glaucoma. He has lost vision in one eye and limited vison in the other eye. He has given up his drivers liscense this year and my mom does not want to drive anymore, They have wonmderful friends who have been helping them out, but they can not continue this pace. We need to get them some help. We want them to eat healthy, and be as independent as long as possible. About the care needs: intelligent, kind, and humor is very important!! Cooking skills, cleaning, shopping, general assessment skills. If they can write a report so we can have an accurate idea of how our parentss are doing, that would be wonderful. A flexible schedule would b e great too. Our parents schedule changes due to doctors appointments, and we would need this person to take them to their appointments and provide us with reports from the doctors. My mother loves to go to the pool and swim, so if that could continue that would be amazing. Our Stepdad loves to talk about his youth, sports (Green Bay Packers).. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
