Hello. We are looking for help with my father. He had a stroke four years ago. He has left side weakness and it has mostly been my 85-year-old mother and I taking care of him and I have four kids and a husband. We need a break. We had a wonderful caregiver but she had surgery and is not returning. My father is able to stand and transfer with assistance. He is mostly in his wheelchair as he is unable to walk. We need someone to help him get out of bed, cleaned up, dressed and ready for the day. Fix breakfast and coffee. Sit on the porch and chat with him. He is easy to talk to and is funny and kind. We would like someone that is VERY reliable, punctual and takes initiative. Someone who doesn't need a lot of direction and can just get in and get things done. Some things we would ask to be done is: His laundry, wash sheets and bedding, vacuum room every once in while. Help with toileting. He has a bather so that's covered. If you can cook that is awesome. His caregiver would make a big batch of oatmeal for the week or a roast or chicken. This is an easy job. My parents are laid back. They have a very clean house. We're a good, close family but definitely need help. I would like to have time with my mother to take her out running errands, shopping or just get out for a while. We're looking for someone three times a week for 4-6 hours. Probably Monday, Thursday and Friday but flexible on those. if you can be on time, not call and cancel last minute and would really like a nice job this would be perfect for you. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
