About who needs care: New diagnosis of dementia, has been having increasing short term memory problems. She can walk, but can no longer do many household tasks. She needs help with laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, having someone present while she takes a shower (only needs assistance with getting in and out, can shower herself otherwise), and cleaning her cats litter box each week. About the care needs: I'm looking for someone who will be able to get along with my mom, she is kind of particular about how she likes things done. She's very forgetful at times and repeats the same things a lot. Light- hearted humor goes a long way with her. Someone with an easy going personality who will go along with how she wants things done will be the best fit I believe. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
