About the job
About who needs care: My wife Briana is 31 years old and is currently going through her second treatment of 36 rounds of radiation for a grade 2 atypical meningioma tumor in her brain. She has had 4 surgeries in the last 2 years. Two of them were brain surgeries, one was a jaw surgery, and the last was a sinus surgery all due to the tumor. The tumor has invaded her sinus and orbital attaching to the optic nerve causing a potential for blindness in one if not both eyes. We are a family of 5 with three children. My son is 7, my middle daughter is 4, and my youngest daughter is 2. I am a full-time employee for Metro Police, and I work the morning shift that is from 6:00am to 4:37pm. Due to our location and where we live, I have to leave my home no later than 5:15am to make it to work on time. As of right now my wife has no vision issues, but if assistance is needed, we would need someone at the home by 5am up until I was to return home. If I were not hung up on a call, and able to leave work on time my return home would be anywhere between the times of 6:00pm-7:00pm. If we were to need the assistance, we would need our son to be brought to school and picked up. Then my middle daughter to be brought and picked up. My son is the easy transport. His school is right across the street from our home, and he will walk. He just needs to be watched. I believe he may be able to walk home, but that would be verified once the school year starts. My daughter on the other hand would have to be picked up and dropped off. Her school is right down the street no more than a three-minute drive. Once the kids are in school the only assistance my wife would potentially need is with our youngest daughter and daily tasks around, and out of the home. Even though she still has her eyesight as of now but like i said there is the possibility of partial to complete blindness. Assistance at the moment is not needed but potentially in the next 6 months to a year. With that being said I am inquiring for information on a caregiver that is qualified to help. Thank you very much in advance and looking forward to speaking with someone. About the care needs: Looking for a female that is around the same age as my wife. Someone who loves to be around children and isn't afraid to interact and play with them while I'm gone. There is a dog in the home that is very protective of the family and is 115lbs, but once she gets to know you, she is very loveable and will also be protective to that person. My wife loves to read, color, crochet, bake, cook, and go outside. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
