About who needs care: Don has mild dementia and is on stage 4 dialysis. He is capable of feeding himself, getting around with a cane, showering, and using the restroom. He has dialysis Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11:15-3:45. He will just need a ride to and from on Mondays and Fridays (so the hours on these days would be split from 10:30-11:30 and 3:30-6:30). On Wednesdays, you can drop-off, run errands for him or do light house work, and then go back to pick him up. Tuesdays and Thursdays would be used for errands, housework, companionship, meal prep, etc. He needs to work up some stamina by having someone to take short walks with him. He is kind and easy to get along with. He is clean and keeps a clean home. He does not have any pets. He does talk a lot but tends to talk about the same things: cars, homes, politics (he is worried about the future presidency), sports, things he wants to do (own a corvette, buy a different house, etc). He is not supposed to drive and has had bouts of hallucinations, but on medication for it. He is just becoming more frail and forgetful. About the care needs: Someone who is kind and patient. Don is a perfectionist to a certain degree and he worries about things that seem (to us) unnecessary to worry about (looking good, being well dressed, being slow, being old, etc. He is lonely but doesn't want anyone to worry about him. He is coming to the realization that he cant do everything he wants to or use to do. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
