About the job
My sister and I care for our mother who has advanced dementia, 24/7. We would like to find respite care for ourselves while we go run errands and have some time away from the house. We don't need meals cooked, meds given, house cleaned. We primarily need someone to watch her at home and keep her safe while we are out of the house. Mom loves music and musical therapy seems to help her mood. . The schedule would be during the week, daytime hours, which may vary slightly. Also on Sunday for a few hours, so we can attend church. Mom has always been a kind hearted person and her dementia hasn't changed her overall personality. She recently had a fall and that seems to have sped up the timeline of her overall decline. Now working with palliative care as well.
