About who needs care: My mother who is 61 years old. She has suffers a hemorrhagic stroke. She is paralyzed on the left side. She has good use of the right side of her body, but she needs assistance going to the restroom, having her food prepped (she can feed herself), and getting in and out of the bed. We have a hospital bed in our living room. She spends most her days in the bed, or in her chair (fully wheelchair bound). There wouldn't be a lot of appointments assistance needed, but possibly some. She is not in therapy at this time. We would love for someone who feels comfortable transporting her into the car so she can get out of the house some. She loves to go to lunch and shop around. We have an electrical wheelchair she can use. Preferably a women as she is most comfortable with them. About the care needs: A women preferably, who can life my mother. I am pregnant and do it often. She weights about 140ish pounds. Someone compassionate and caring, who can leaned a helpful ear but also doesn't mind just relaxing on the couch and watching TV. Also okay with animals. We have one big dog and one small dog. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
