She has retaken an interest in gardening. The structure of the day would be 1. up and out of the bed by 8:00 a.m. 2. dogs taking outside by 8:10 a.m. 3. bath by 8:45 a.m. 4. breakfast by 9:00 a.m. 5. Clean her room by 9:30 a.m. 6. An area of interest activity by 10:30 a.m. (community center, gardening, or shopping) 7. Dogs taking outside by 12:00 p.m. 8. Lunch by 12:30 p.m. 9. Nap by 1:00 p.m. 10. Wash clothes by 1:45 p.m. 11. Afternoon snack by 2:00 p.m. 12. Outside gardening for 15 to 30 minutes She can watch television after she puts her clothes away. About the care needs: The caregiver must be a dog lover and comfortable around dogs, as I have three dogs. She must know when to be firm but pleasant when collaborating with my parents. She should have integrity. The specialized skills they should have are patience with the elderly, compassion, and understanding of medical needs. The specific hobbies or interests the caregiver needs are patience or love for the same hobbies/interests as my parents. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
