About who needs care: My 88-year-old grandmother is in need of a caregiver to help her with activities of daily living and transportation to appointments. She is incontinent and needs help changing her adult underwear, and dressing herself. She needs assistance getting in and out of the shower and bathing. She does not drive, so she needs transportation to her appointments. She needs someone to help her prepare meals and pick up groceries. About the care needs: My grandmother is very direct and is able to tell you what she needs. She will do well with someone that listens to her and does not talk over her. She is completely capable of taking care of herself cognitively, just not physically. Sometimes she can get obsessed with making sure a certain task is done a certain way, so it would help if her caregiver can redirect her at times. They will need to have a drivers license and be able to take her to her appointments. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
