About who needs care: mom has mobility issues due to back and hip pain. Currently dealing with nerve pain from shingles (that is healing) that has increased pain in hip and back. She takes meds for a few things. Cognitive skills are still very good. She likes to play games and keeps a very neat and tidy living space. She owns her home and still lives there. She could use some help with getting in and out of the shower, dressed for the day, light chores and getting meals, etc. She currently has a half day helper that takes her for hair and nail appointments and helps her with groceries. She is not looking to increase her hours at this time. She usually comes from 8-1 I live in the same area and usually take her to important doctors appointments. About the care needs: My mom enjoys talking and playing games. She is pretty routine oriented and likes things done the way she is accustomed to doing them. She is friendly and smart, I think someone that is honest, has a heart of giving and a friendly confident demeanor would be a good fit. A good caregiver is going to be someone that understands basic needs of every day living with someone who has mobility issues. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
