About who needs care: Polite gentleman who has short term memory loss and is in cardiac failure. Needs assistance getting up and down out of chairs and bed. Lives with his lovely wife of 70 year, who is also in her 90s and frail. They both use walkers to get around. They need to be prompted to take their medications. Both are friendly and kind, but sometimes stubborn about admitting they need help. About the care needs: Friendly, good conversationalist, strong enough to assist elderly people up and down out of chairs and beds. Some basic cooking skills. Willingness to balance keeping an eye on the elders while also doing basic house cleaning. Willingness to take a shift if other caregivers are unexpectedly not available would be particularly helpful. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
