About the job
About who needs care: He has dementia and walks with assistance. He needs to walk a little and someone to talk to. He needs to take a bath or shower. He can do it himself, but, someone needs to encourage and make him take a bath a couple of times a week. He lives with my sister and her husband, but she is disabled and needs a break from caring for my father. She doesn't need any assistance other than helping with my father a couple days a week. About the care needs: Someone who listens well, shows interest in talking to him. Doesn't take no for an answer when my father needs to get in the shower and walk a little. Someone who can help clean a little and give my sister a break. Understands dementia and the symptoms. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
