About who needs care: My grandmother has a past history of stroke but her most recent stroke was severe and she has lost a lot of ability to care for herself. She was able to move around on her own and care for herself with low assistance but now she needs 24/7 care. She is 95 and has outlived her daughter and son, but she has many grandchildren. Her main caretakers right now are her granddaughter on her daughters side, Destiny, and her boyfriend, Sebastian. She enjoys watching tv and crocheting. When she was able to, she enjoyed gardening a lot as well. Typically, she would wake up about 7 a.m. and have breakfast (caregiver fully needed for prep the food) but able to eat on her own, and then she would go to the living room to finish her coffee, take meds and watch tv until about 9am, she would get herself dressed and make her bed and then rest until 12/1 p.m. where she would do the dishes and then crochet in the living room until her afternoon nap. Typically in the evenings, she has dinner around 5/6 p.m. and she would watch tv until about 9:30 when she would get herself ready for bed. About the care needs: I am looking for someone very patient and maybe specializing in dementia/memory care, or someone just to talk to her, or feed her in the mornings/afternoons while I am away at work. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
