About who needs care: My husband and I are looking for assistance caring for my 62-year-old brother, who is Autistic. He has lived with us for over five years, and we need a day or two a week of respite. His daily routine includes going out for lunch and visiting thrift stores and other large retail stores. Outings usually last from 3-4 hours. Occasional meal prep may also be needed. About the care needs: Experience understanding behavioral triggers and interventions for de-escalating emotional upsets in persons with Autism would be most helpful.
