Hi there. My dad has a rare, early-onset form of dementia called Posterior Cortical Atrophy. We are looking for a part time caregiver to be with him 1-3 days a week, mainly for companionship so my mom can work and/or run errands. He loves just having someone to talk to or to take him on walks. We are specifically looking for a caregiver who is knowledgeable about PCA dementia and the limitations it causes. My dad is only 60 years old and his biggest challenge with this dementia is not memory loss, it is vision loss and comprehension. He cannot do crafts, play card games, attend group events like normal dementia patients because these are all very difficult or overwhelming for him. The schedule will likely vary each week, so flexibility is important. Light house keeping or meal prep would also be very helpful. Thank you!
