About the job
Seeking companion care for my mom, 81. I live nearby and work from home, but she needs more social time and activity than my schedule allows. She has mid-stage dementia with memory issues that are slowly progressing. She is talkative (though repetitive), ambulatory (slowed by osteoarthritis) and otherwise in good health with few meds. She toilets, showers, and dresses herself. She's unable to track her meds and meal schedule and needs encouragement for activity. A patient helper is needed to prepare/share lunch, conversation, and do engaging activities, light housekeeping, short walks/exercises and possibly drive for occasional nearby outings. Mom has been resistant to the idea of home care, but hopefully will warm to it. Please be COVID and flu-vaccinated, a non-smoker and fine with her 2 indoor cats that are well cared for and loved.
