Our family is seeking an experienced caregiver for our 83-year-old father. Must be drug-free, smoke-free, and have a clean driving record. We have a mix of day and night shifts available. A flexible schedule is a plus. The position is stand-by assist. Dad is mobile with a walker. Day shift duties include assisting with getting in and out of the shower, helping with dressing, fixing him a well-balanced meal, laundry, light housekeeping, and medication prompting. The day shift also includes occasional driving to appointments and running some errands. Night shift duties include preparing dinner or a snack, prompting medication, and straightening the kitchen and den. You are allowed to sleep at night. He wakes up on average 1 to 2 times per night. He requires assistance with the bedside urinal and getting settled back in bed.
