About who needs care: Father is in late stages of ALS, fully paralyzed, just went through tracheostomy surgery last week. Has a feeding tube. Mother is primary caregiver and we currently have one part-time caregiver. Looking for additional help. Father communicates through eye-gaze and enjoys watching sports, and participating in online auctions. About the care needs: - Someone who is very patient, empathetic to his condition, and also has a good sense of humor. Also someone willing to interact with him and include in conversation. - Preferred Skills: Knows how to work a feeding tube, tracheotomy, vent, mobility lift, experience with ALS patients. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
