About the job
Hello! I am looking for a smart, energetic person to assist me with caring for my "mostly independent" Dad who is 73 and has vascular dementia (moderate memory issues). Dad is easy-going, kind, and has a great sense of humor. He is open minded and a Democrat. I am looking for set weekly care (approx. 2-4 hours a week) & extra intermittent care when my husband and I are out of town. The ideal candidate will have some flexibility in their schedule to help with periodic transportation to appointments as they come up. We would also like help w/ light cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, and making sure Dad has everything he needs to be safe and healthy in his apartment. Dad would prefer a non-smoker. Most importantly we need someone who is reliable, responsible, and helpful - someone who is ready to be part of our family's care team.
