About who needs care: Mom: Underlying conditions *Arthritis - GLUTEN FREE DIET as a result * Has ADD * goes to bed late gets up around 10:00am-12:00 p.m. (don't contact her or arrive for a shift before 12:00pm) She is very independent but I think she would appreciate help with meal planning, cooking, grocery shopping, occasional deep cleaning tasks, & errands. Cooking/Diet: Primarily vegetarian with occasional poultry or beef. Likes a bohemian diet such as dishes from the Moosewood Cookbooks, plenty of vegetables with lots of flavor. Hobbies/Interests/career: Career: professional artist & retired professor of fine arts at RISD. Hobbies/Interests: Bird watching & Sailing My Dad also lives in the house but he works a lot and is gone for weeks at a time for work. When he is home he eats A LOT, if he is home please make a DOUBLE BATCH of anything u cook. NOTE: they have 2 dogs, must be comfortable around dogs About the care needs: Best personality fit would be some-one who is organized, flexible, creative & friendly. It would be great if they are familiar with bohemian style vegetarian cooking, environmentally sustainable practices such as composting & reducing food waste. My parents can be very particular, this person MUST be open to feedback, accommodating individual preferences & learning where things are stored in the kitchen. Added bonus if they are an artist , love dogs or have had experience in academia! Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
