About who needs care: My sister is in need of in home care, it has become very difficult for my parents. We need someone with her for a few hours during the day and some weekends overnight. . She has hereditary spastic paraparesis and is in a wheelchair and is unable to walk. She also has early onset dementia. She is only 38 years old. She needs help with transfers to the commode as well as the shower. She has a stander that helps her get up and a shower chair. She is unable to stand as well. She needs help with feeding, bathing, making sure she takes her medication as well as companionship. We need someone to start as soon as possible! About the care needs: She loves having her nails painted! She loves to color and do crosswords as well! We definitely need someone who is strong and is able to transfer her. She does get very confused and repeats herself multiple times a day about the same things and is extremely forgetful! She is a very sweet, caring and compassionate girl, who just wants a companion. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
