WHO/WHAT: We're adding to our team! Are you a compassionate caregiver who'd rather partner with adults over children? Do you have previous experience in a retirement home or healthcare facility? If you prefer bifocals over babies, then we have BIG news for you! We're proud to expand our services, and we're looking for nurturing experts like you to deliver exceptional, non-medical care to local seniors! You can work full-time or part-time hours (please specify your preference when applying). Every client will have unique needs, but many aging adults struggle with daily duties. You'll provide your senior physical assistance and emotional encouragement, help bathe, dress, navigate bathroom breaks, and maintain hygiene. You'll keep things organized with medication and appointment reminders and assist with laundry, dishes, meal prep, and general cleaning. As many seniors give up their license, you'll need to drive using your own safe vehicle as you accompany your client shopping, to social events, and to medical appointments. Finally, you'll combat isolation and inactivity by promoting light exercise and reigniting your senior's passion for hobbies. You'll go for walks, play cards, cook, bake, engage in mentally stimulating conversation, and simply have fun together. This role is ideal for a non-practicing nurse, personal support worker, or someone experienced with caring for seniors.
