Looking for a Compassionate, Patient, Active Individual to Help Veteran with In-Home Care Thank you for taking the time to look into this position! We are looking for an individual to help with hands-on in-home care for Matt. Matt is a 40-year-old veteran who is 10 years into an ALS diagnosis. At this point in his progression, Matt has lost the ability to do most physical tasks himself. He requires help with bed-to-wheelchair transfers, driving his wheelchair, feeding, toileting, medication, dressing, etc. There will be down time while Matt rests in bed throughout the day so this could be a good fit for someone pursuing higher education, possibly in a therapeutic profession. Matt enjoys chess, movies, political debate, all genres of audiobooks, and the outdoors. Candidate must be able to safely transfer Matt (5'10", 160lbs)
