About the job
About who needs care: Joe is a quad amputee from sepsis but he is awake, alert and oriented. Needs to transfer from bed to wheelchair in the morning. Needs to have meals cooked and set up for him but he can feed himself. He needs help using urinal and to use commode. He needs his prosthetic legs put on after breakfast. He goes to therapy 3 times a week and may need to be driven there in our wheelchair accessible van. I am a Nurse that works 2 12hr shifts a week, My days vary week to week. About the care needs: We are looking for someone who is competent and caring. He or she must be comfortable taking on and off his leg prosthetics. He will be getting hand prosthetics in the future. Services needed include: Dressing, Prepare and set up meals, Transfer from bed to power wheelchair, Assist with urinal and transfer to commode.
