My 89 y. o. mother has dementia and a chronic cough related to COPD. She requires some assistance in the bathroom to make sure she doesn't fall, and some instruction as she sometimes is able to clean herself. She does walk good most of the time, but she does have some balance issues and would fall without assistance and utilizing her walker. I have been her only caregiver for just over 6 years, but it has been a lot on myself over time. My mom is a very nice, sweet lady and she can be very funny and loves people. I too worked as a caregiver for 2 years and I'm looking for assistance on any given Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday nights from 6-7 p.m. until 12pm-1am, possibly overnight if 1 a.m. is too late. There would be no meal prep, possibly a snack, as I would feed her before I leave.
