About who needs care: My mother sleeps until about 9 a.m. then starts to greet the day. She either stays in her hospital bed for breakfast or gets up to sit at the table. She watches her favorite TV shows and engages in some conversation. Lunch is around 1 p.m. then she takes a nap. About the care needs: My mother is a sweet and gentle 94-year-old widow. She lives with her daughter since her husband died in 2023. Her dementia has resulted in the inability to retain new information so she forgets her husband died. She enjoys people with a sense of humor and she loves attention. A person with the patience and understanding for memory care is preferred. She truly just needs companionship for a few hours a day. Services needed include: companionship.
