Hi! I'm looking for a reliable/understanding individual to provide support 3 mornings/week for 4 months. Ideal candidates would be educated in ADHD/neurodevelopmental disorders- but I am happy to provide more info to people willing to learn! I'm in my early 30s, have severe ADHD impacted by recent health challenges and I am working on building independent living skills. Your primary role would be accountability support for tasks I'd be getting done myself- college coursework (I'm working on undergrad degree), chores, exercise, time/self-management..(basically "adulting"!) Hands on: Daily check-ins about my to do list/my progress at start/end of shift 1-2 light tasks (ex- a chore, grocery pickup, playing with cat etc) Rest of time would be yours to relax/work on your own stuff!-just you being in the house is so helpful for providing external accountability. About the care needs: Looking for someone reliable/consistent who would feel comfortable coexisting in house with minimal oversight/interaction needed but who would also feel comfortable checking on/discussing an adult's behavior without judgement- that is for the most part content to "parallel play"- but willing to interrupt/redirect my behavior if I am off track. Someone who can respect/enjoys a sensory sensitive environment- lighting, sound etc.- loves/is familiar with cats (I have one), and has education or a personal interest in neurodevelopmental/executive functioning disorders. If they have specific training in behavioral/occupational therapy this would be awesome but is not necessary. I prefer consistency and having clear expectations so someone who feels like they enjoy routine and would establish a rhythm in how we spend the time would be great. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
