About the job
My 86 yr old Mother moved from Tennessee to Phila 18 months ago, and lives 15 minutes from us. She came here after my step-father passed, as I am her only daughter. She's at our home Sundays each wk, and I visit her weekly at her apartment and take her to all appointments and grocery shopping at our coop. She lives in Germantown/Mt. Airy and likes the community, but needs more companionship, as it's hard for her to make new friends experiencing short term memory loss. We need relief too. While she does not need memory care yet, and has no hostile tendencies, we prefer a caregiver with Alzheimers knowledge/experience, & need a non-smoker. My Mother has a very kind disposition and is pleasure to be with. She likes to walk, nature & loves small children, as she's a retired elementary school teacher.
