About who needs care: late stage dementia. need helps for thurs evenings and sat mornings for 3-4 hrs each. grandma needs helps eating bathing dressing she about 100 pounds. needs help with bathroom. is incontinent wears disposable briefs. is ambulatory. is confused. difficulty eating and swallowing. only eats soft foods and soups. Basically watches tv or sleeps. very restless and wanders around the house but never left the house. this is needed for my parents to get a break to attend Bible study each week. my mom is sole caregiver and needs a break. additional days thru out the week. About the care needs: patient, kind and speaks slowly. she can't handle anyone who speaks fast. smile and be funny helps. stern personality will not work. no particular interests I can think of. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
