About the job
About who needs care: Age 45. Disabled. Lives in own home, has intractable epilepsy and has falls with seizures. Has had multiple traumatic brain injury from falls. Also has mobility issues due to drop foot caused from cerebral hemorrhage 4 years ago during a fall during a seizure. Does not have convulsive seizures. Does not have seizures daily. Needs help with keeping on task to organize mail, pay bills. Someone for light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep. Someone to stay in the house while he showers (in case of a fall). Needs help to engage him and socialize. Want to preserve his cognition. He is currently alone most days and unable to keep up with day to day tasks. About the care needs: Someone that will encourage him even when he says I cant. - is not a pushover. (He is stronger than he realizes). Someone who is kind, but also tough Someone who can empathize and joke around. He loves to laugh and have a good time. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
