About the job
About who needs care: He has uncontrolled epilepsy, TBI, a drop foot and social isolation. He lives alone with his dog and is waiting for a service dog. The Companion would supervise him taking his medications, be in the house while he showers because he can't wear his helmet at that time, help with laundry as he can't go downstairs, conversation and some meal prep. About the care needs: Someone who is patient as he repeats himself, please no political conversation, particularly Trump. Someone who would encourage him to walk more and be more active. He does not need medical skills, just someone who remains calm when he has a seizure (he no longer has grand mal seizures) but he regularly looses consciousness. His companion needs to make sure he is safe, and give him a few minutes to regain his composure. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
