Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Jeannette

About who needs care: My mom has depression that keeps her from staying on task for relatively basic things like making her meals, taking her medication, monitoring her glucose levels (She has Type 2 Diabetes). When reminded consistently of her daily routine and appointments, she is able to do many things, but without consistent oversight she will fall back to not caring for herself and sleeping most of the day. She used to have interests in crafts, baking and gardening, but has not worked on these interests in over 5 years now. My brothers and families have worked on building some structure and routine, but we all live in different areas and it is difficult for us to provide the level of support that my mom requires. About the care needs: Someone who is patient but is not afraid to be direct and can also hold my mom accountable when needed. Someone with experience with dealing with the challenges type 2 diabetes and what types of enjoyable food she could enjoy. My mom is physically able to shop and cook, but lacks direction in what to do. Also, someone who can consistently oversee my mom sticking to a routine. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
