About who needs care: He broke his upper arm in a few places. It led his disease of CMT to soar. He has little strength in his hands, arms & feet & legs. He is unable to stand now, which he could before he was injured. Plus he was able to walk while holding on. He is in Livingston, NJ & is receiving excellent PT. They hope to have him stand but it will take a lot of PT. That will make him more independent . he cant move from bed to wheelchair, etc. About the care needs: My husband is easygoing & social. He needs a big strong person to care for him & get him from bed to wheelchair, bathe & dress, back in bed later for a nap. Do you have some strong males? 6 ft. 2 & 180 lbs. transferring him is what we need the caregiver for mainly. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
