Hands-on Care Needed For My Husband In Freedom

About who needs care: Parkinson's, macular degeneration, hearing loss, catheter. He has been trying to regain strength after a series of hospitalizations for COVID, CHF, stomach flu and UTI. Mobility has been returning slowly. He needs help with showering, catheter care (including cleaning of irritated groin and pressure sores in back), changing clothes, and toileting (if the time is right). Herb listens to audio books, watches TV, and looks at the Internet a little. He is determined to shower on his own, but he isn't ready to do it on his own and doesn't want my help. So he needs someone firm and confident to work with him and make sure it happens. The catheter and associated hygiene are a little too much for me to do every day, and I would like to get help with that from someone who can help me him get him into a regular morning routine. About the care needs: He would probably prefer a man for the showering and cleaning, but I think he would cooperate with a woman with a take charge personality. Whoever it is should be kind and have experience with these things and proceed with confidence. There wouldn't be housework to do, except maybe for changing and washing bedding. If the weather is good, assistance with a short walk would be helpful. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
