I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother who is 89. She has dementia, but isn't helpless. She can mostly carry out her daily activities with prompting. She cannot be left alone overnight, however she does stay at home alone while I am at work during the day. She watches TV & does puzzles. She isn't very active. Assistance with medication is needed. She can take it with dinner. Please be willing to occasionally do light housekeeping. My mother may not need assistance with actually bathing, however she WILL need reminding & to have her transfer chair placed in the tub, her towel, etc put out. Additional responsibilities may occasionally include meal preparation. Duties will definitely include providing companionship & social interaction. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets & CPR / first-aid trained.
