About the job
We are seeking live-in home care for my mother-in-law. She had a stroke which makes her speech very difficult to understand, but is physically healthy. She needs help prompting to take her meds, managing her calendar, and cooking/keeping up the house. Primarily this is a companionship position plus driving. Please be chatty! She doesn't require constant attention, just oversight as she has some cognitive decline and might for instance try to cook. She usually sleeps around 12 hours. We have a full-time caregiver but need someone to fill in when our primary caregiver needs to be away. Immediately, we need someone 6/27-7/5. Please only applicants with valid driver's license and experience with communication challenges or stroke patients. Pay is $200/day, includes lodging and meals.
