Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Clarksville

About who needs care: Jim and Joann (Mom & Dad) are late 80's. They need help with organizing their medications, light meal prep, changing beds as needed, light cleaning a few times per week. They still live independently, but it is time for some additional help. We 4 adult children all live in different states, but we get home as often as we can, but they need more help than we can give long distance. We try to be there whenever they have non-routine doctor appointments. About the care needs: Mom is happy and easy to get along with. Dad likes to tell stories from his life and loves an audience. He is a coal miner's son from Clarksville PA. After spending 70 years in Quincy, Massachusetts as a college professor and politician (last elected position was Mayor of Quincy for 12 years). He & mom came back to his childhood home. They added an office to the back of the house and created a space in the basement just for the grandkids(14 in total). For 30 years my folks have walked together for exercise most days. They joined EQT in Waynesburg to continue walking in all weather and learned to use some of the exercise equipment. It has made all the difference in their mobility, especially these last years. Mom has developed cellulitis and it has made it impossible for her to continue exercising at the gym(EQT). She does have physical therapy exercises that help her stay loose and strong enough to care for herself and assist my dad as needed. It would help if someone could go through her simple routine with her 3 times a week. They have me (daughter) in Georgia, son in Rochester NY, son in Charlotte NC and son in Nashville TN. They have 14 grandkids among all of us. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
