About who needs care: My grandpa is a very stubborn, old Italian man. He loves his independence but he's honestly just getting too old to maintain this lifestyle. He lived alone and worked part-time in Las Vegas until he was in his late 80s, but moved in with my parents in Philly after a tough bout of Covid. His current routine has him very stagnant, sitting in front of the tv all day, and little to no engagement with others outside of dinner time with my parents. I now work from home 3 days a week and do my best to engage with him, but the other 2 days he's completely alone. He's healthy mobile for a 92-year-old, but several recent health scares are definitely showing his age. About the care needs: Any ties to Italy/surrounding countries. My grandpa loves to talk and I think relating to his home country is the easiest way to get a foot in the door and have him trust and accept you. In an ideal world, I want someone to keep him company, remind him to drink water, and push him to get in at least one short walk a day. Services needed include: companionship.
