About who needs care: Dementia , but great physical condition. Just need someone to come in and maybe organize some things with her, go for walks, some light cleaning maybe and give my father-in-law a break a few times a week. We want her to feel comfortable with the person now so that when we need someone later for a longer period of time she already knows them. About the care needs: Someone who is really patient and willing to hear the same stories over and over again and react with enthusiasm. Someone very friendly and warm. Someone who understands that my mom is a go-getter, Olympic coach, needs someone active, not sedentary, she likes to garden and keep up with the yard, etc. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
