About the job
About who needs care: Blind (95%), mild dementia, recently widowed, can take care of her basic needs herself with occasional guidance. She would mostly be sleepy and watching TV in the evening until bedtime (9:00) then can get herself to bed, with watchfulness. We have cats. :-) She loves to visit, but gets tired easily and spends most of her time in her favorite chair. This would be for this one evening only. Very sweet lady! About the care needs: Personality: Someone who is kind and quiet, but would love to listen to her stories. No specialized skills, just helpfulness dealing with a blind lady as needed and walking close by. Hobbies: Used to knit, paint, play piano, ski, married for 70 years and recently lost her husband. Mom is a Christian lady, so that would be a good fit. Services needed include: companionship.
