My Grandma is 86 years old, & has Parkinson's with dementia. She requires help cooking and reminders for taking medications, otherwise she is pretty independent. She lives in a beautiful house on our family farm in St. Paul and her 6 kids are very involved in her care. She currently has daytime help from 6:00am-2:00pm, but we are looking for swing shift (2:00pm-8:00pm) and OVERNIGHT help. Flexible on time frames. She sleeps well but wakes up to use the bathroom once or twice. The main issue is that she forgets to stay in bed until her 6:00 helper arrives and her legs do not safely work in the mornings due to the Parkinson's. In the mornings she has to use a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair for the first half hour or hour until her legs wake up. She wouldn't need to do anything but be kept safe until her 6:00 helper arrives!
