Seeking Full-time Senior Care Provider In Portland

About who needs care: Hi. My name is Ned. I am Richard's son and we are looking for a part-time caregiver. About a year and a half ago he moved into the basement apartment in my home and I took some time off work to look after him. About a month ago he had a minor stroke which left him with some mobility issues. It didn't affect him mentally but he tends right and is a little weak on that side. Having said that he is pre-diabetic (non-insulin),, Getting up early to watch the stock market is his number one pastime. He also enjoys movies and reading. He used to enjoy walking along Springwater corridor and I would like to try to get him back doing that in the future. He usually gets up around 5:00 a.m. and has breakfast around 6:00 lunch around noon and dinner around 6:00 or seven with exercise intermittently throughout the day. About the care needs: We're looking for someone with a good sense of humor who can do some meal prep, Light house keeping (ie: vacuuming, folding clothes, making a twin bed and general organization), occasionally administering and reviewing medication.. Also mild compainonship, including but not limited to: sitting and listening, nodding in agreement, and feigning interest. In all seriousness he is pretty stock Market savvy, amongst other things, and could teach someone a lot.. ideal candidate would be confident, patient, caring, calm, and quick to laugh.
