About who needs care: We are looking into this, seeking a live-in caregiver. Delusional disorder diagnosed, not bizarre, aggressive, or violent. She isn't aware that she has a mental illness, won't take meds for it, and caregiver would need to be "roommate", not to be called "caregiver". Would need to appear you work remotely from home Used to volunteer there frequently but is alone at home more now. Politically conservative, friendly, and she loves to talk. She needs a friendly soul to give encouragement to do more social activities, someone to volunteer with at the church, to take walks with. She may or may not be "sun downing", but she gets scared at night. She will leave, feeling unsafe at home where she currently lives alone, and go walking. If you feel you may be a good fit, please contact me so we can talk. Thanks for your time! About the care needs: Friendly, patient, a good listener. An observant/active Catholic would be ideal, but if you aren't and you are accepting and tolerant of other faiths, that works. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
