About the job
We are looking for a WEEKEND (9-5 ish) caregiver to add to our team to help take care of my mom in North East Portland. My mom is in late stage dementia. Must know how to operate a Hoyer and do transfers to wheelchair and commode. She is no longer able to stand or walk. Must know how to do bed baths and bed changes, meal prep, give meds, help with feeding and light housekeeping. Experience/training working with dementia patients is a must. We are looking for a caring and compassionate companion. We prefer a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first aid trained. Before my mom got sick, she was an RN who cared passionately for her patients. We hope to find a caregiver who will do the same for her! :).
