Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Portland

About who needs care: Independent and quiet, my mom has finally got to where she needs some help to allow her to continue living independently. We aren't sure to what extent she needs help, so it could vary but we are looking for the right person to help her perhaps on a daily basis but at least a few times a week. She stays home except for church (but she hasn't had the strength to go lately) and likes to read a bit, watch the news, send emails. She's not outgoing but she's very sweet and kind. About the care needs: Patience is key. Mom has never had care and she's quite independent so she may be resistant at first. Someone who will help her feel safe but also give her space and let her feel like she still "rules the roost." She likes things done a certain way, whether it's her meals or the arrangement of her stuff, so if she corrects you, don't take it personally! It will be good for her to have some companionship as well. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
